University of Central Florida, Continuing Civil Engineering Minor Services Contract

EED was selected for the Civil Engineering Minor Services contract with UCF Physical Plant.  Work includes miscellaneous projects such as stormwater rehabilitation, parking lot improvements, new and existing roadway improvements, wastewater studies, etc.

 

Wastewater Capacity Study – EED was contracted by the UCF Planning Facilities department to perform a study of the campuses current and future wastewater capacity needs.  Analysis and inventory consists of existing, current development in-construction, and future development of educational, student housing, and retail facilities that are included in the 2014 campus masterplan.

 

UCF Mall – Currently under construction, EED provided planning, civil engineering, and landscape architecture services for the development of a student passive park area that will serve as the focal point for student/campus events and gatherings.

 

West Plaza Drive Extension – Currently under construction, EED provided preliminary engineering plans and roadway construction plans for approximately 2,000 linear feet of a 2-lane urban section of road to include future water and sewer utility connections for future retail and student housing.

 

Parking Lot T-400 – Currently under construction, EED provided planning and design services of a 743 space parking lot. The design includes a two way roadway design that allows vehicles to go back and forth between lot T900 and T400.

 

Detention Pond Relocation Project – EED is currently under contract to provide construction documents and permitting services for the relocation of the existing stormwater retention / treatment area that will be the future expansion area for the existing UCF water plant.

 

Greek Park Drive and Gemini Blvd Improvements- EED provided engineering and traffic design services for the placement of a signal at the intersection of Greek Drive and Gemini Boulevard, adjacent to the Creek housing.  The signal will allow for safer conditions in the mixed methods of mobility between pedestrians, cyclists, and motorized vehicles.
