The Grand Cypress Resort is a 1500+ acre Resort Planned Development located in Orange County contiguous to Disney off CR 535. The resort includes a 750 room Hyatt Regency Resort Hotel, 45 holes of Jack Nicklaus designed golf course, 49 Residential Villas, Equestrian, Tennis and Meeting Centers.


Principles of EED have been involved since the inception of the project in 1980 and EED has been the Project Civil Engineer since 1985. As Engineer for the project EED has been responsible for design, permitting and construction phase services for roadway design and permitting, utility expansion and modifications to both project entrances including a new gatehouse and golf cart bridge over CR 535.


EED is currently working with the Developer in the planning, design and permitting of over $40,000,000.00 worth of improvements to the project. These improvements include Master Plan revisions, internal connector roads and utilities, a new vehicular bridge over CR 535, Master Stormwater Plan update and permitting and a new main entrance to the Resort.

The Parkway is a 230+ acre mixed use Planned Development located at the intersection of U.S. 192 and I-4 in Osceola County, Fl. EED provided Civil Engineering services for two hotel sites (Radisson Inn and Hampton Inn) and design, permitting and construction phase services for the project main road, utilities and master stormwater system for the Development.

EED continues to provide review and quality control input to the Developer.
